I am so happy to say that headbands are back in the shop!!! I have more to post so keep checking back, but in the meantime my two favorites are already in the shop waiting for their new owners. :)
What I love most about my headbands is that they are great for any age and any occasion. They are also really comfortable. Sometimes I forget that I have one on! Check them out, and I would love to hear what you think of them!!
It is no secret that I love weddings. Every single thing about them! As a wedding photographer I am around them more than the average person and have seen some very creative design ideas. If I was able to duplicate myself I would probably start a one-stop-wedding-shop. Luckily, I live in a community that is overflowing with wedding vendor talent that are also some of the sweetest people you can meet. I am more than happy to recommend their services instead of starting my monopoly :) Anyway, one thing other than photography that I can't help digging into with the wedding business is invitations. I love design and I love creating. I honestly get restless if it has been longer than a week of no creative output. I figit, and my mind just races until it feels like it might explode. Anyone else get this?
Ok, so the whole point of this post was to introduce some new stuff going on in the Daisy Cottontail Etsy shop. Invitations are one of them. Let me know what you think...all criticism is good. Keep in mind, I have no formal design training...I am not bragging, I just want to explain that I am still in the amateur learning phase.
Hi friends. WOW!!! It has been a loooong time since I have blogged and I am very sorry about that. Things have been crazy around here with projects, work, family, holidays and being sick. But I am back in gear and hoping to keep blogging more regularly.
First off, there are so many new things going on in the Daisy Cottontail Etsy.com shop. I have a new passion for design and feel complete doing so. I still love my headbands and have been missing them greatly. They just didn't sell well on Etsy, but I am hoping to start them up again and hopefully get them in some local shops and maybe back on Etsy. I think I need pictures of them on people, so I need to find some models...any volunteers?
We have also started an art blog www.iseeelephant.blogspot.com and are working on a giveaway for both I See Elephant and Daisy Cottontail so please check back for that, you wont want to miss it. I See Elephant is our new baby and we have so much we want to do with it. We envision it being a hub for artists to come and get inspired by eachother...not just the art itself, but the artist and their story. We want to do features and many giveaways, and we would love to incorporate charity. If you are an artist (of any medium) and would like to do any of the before mentioned please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. In the mean time, please follow I See Elephant...you wont regret it ;)
Anyway, I came across these on the Design Sponge blog this afternoon and just had to share. These are amazing, and I love anyway to reuse everyday items...especially if they help with smells :) Check out the full feature on Design Sponge HERE.
